First, I should clarify in advance, 
I do NOT think that all Christians are clueless about love, ethics, or rationality.

I realize there's a wide spectrum of character traits and intelligence among Christians. 

Rather, my position is that "moral authoritarian" versions of Christianity (which covers most versions of Christianity) manipulate members to "compartmentalize" their views and values; so that even the most ethical and rational members must turn off their own rationality and ethics whenever they speak about any issues specific to their religious beliefs. 

Also, please note that I am NOT speaking as anyone's moral superior.
Nor am I going to pretend that I have my shit together, nor even that my life is good.

My life sucks.
Also, I do NOT have my shit together.

In fact, I can guarantee I'm the most broken non-violent person you'll ever stumble across.

But as "PM Dawn" once said in a song, ...

I don't need to have my shit together
just to understand what that looks like.

Nor do I need to have a life ... to understand how certain cults and drugs are keeping others from theirs. 

Nor do I need to have all the answers
to recognize a lot of factually wrong answers.

It's like how I don't need to understand quantum physics to know that the universe is not made out of cotton candy.
 Some answers are just clearly wrong.

Moving forward,
I understand that presenting facts, logic, and ethics won't have any positive effect with you; at this time.

However,
I'm going to offer those anyways.

Why?

Because maybe someday you'll realize something insidious about the faith-system you're defending.
If that day ever comes, maybe you'll remember that time when some rando on the internet tried to clue you in about it.

Also, perhaps someone else who stumbles across this might be willing to consider what's being said here.

Again, I do realize you cannot seriously consider the possibility that you could be wrong.

So then the real question is ...
"Why not?".

It's the exact same reason
other versions of religious fundamentalists "can't be wrong";
such as:

Jehovah's Witnesses,
Roman Catholics,
Scientologists,
and Muslim Jihadists.

Your religion took away your ability to reason honestly.

In fact, here's a Link; to the definitions of "religion". 
I offer this because your religion also took away your ability to remember what words mean. 

More importantly, they took away your ability to hold yourself accountable to the same standards you hold everyone else to;
when it comes to fact-checking, logical, ethics, and a willingness to 'discover being wrong'.

They tricked you into thinking that questioning them equates to "questioning God".

Although, if you were to question yourself, you would be questioning "God".
"He" is your own alter-ego;
which resides in a hijacked and partitioned part of your own mind.


"He" is a part of you ...
which you don't correctly recognize,
and are afraid to question.

"He" is also a part of other men;
the men who created him in your mind,
as a puppet-king.

It's a puppet they "give voice to",
as a means to control and exploit you.

So now you have"100% certainty" about things you TRUST mere-mortal-men about; despite the fact those men never EARNED that trust.
Nor could any man ever be worthy of such extreme and dangerous levels of trust.

Nor would an ETHICAL man ever presume to be QUALIFIED to speak for "God"; over anyone at all. And yet, that is EXACTLY what all bible-writers, translators, interpreters, preachers, child-indoctrinators, and apologists presume to be.

They tricked you into thinking you are really "trusting God" by trusting them.

To help make that mental-enslavement permanent,
they tricked you into making your ego dependent on a mystical "Father"-entity's approval.

It's a "Father" they speak for, and rule over you "in the name of".
That, in turn, gives other men power over your life.

It's also a way to get money from you; so that they don't have to get real jobs as ordinary people.

It's also how covert predators gain easy 'opportunities of access' to vulnerable women and children.

Compare that to this:

This is a problem because: 
 It means your "God" favors your wellbeing
far more than countless other people's wellbeing. 

Although, again, this goes without saying, when we consider what you think he plans to DO to most other humans. 

Meanwhile, ...

It's also a way for them to shape your "moral" lens, so that they can shape social-norms to their selfish advantage.

This is why they seek to keep us DIVIDED from each other; so they can control us. Manipulating their sheep into "us verses the world"-thinking ... is also how they get you to help them infiltrate and dominate political systems. In other words, it's how they hijack entire governments and societies.

But they know they can't do this without help from below; help from the mentally "surrendered" persons in their religious systems. So they maneuver their people into voting how they want you to vote;
again,
to their own selfish advantage.

To help make all of that programming 'stick',
they push the absolute limits of "carrot and stick" psychology.

They bribe members with fictional "I.O.U"s for eternal hedonistic-levels of bliss;
along with an equal-but-opposite threat (aka "Hell") to ensure surrender and compliance.

They also use polarizing rhetoric about the evils of people who think, live, and love differently than them. This helps them foster a religious form of identity-politics. That, in turn, helps them exploit people's need to feel cosmically special and morally superior; compared to others. At the same time, those religions have designed semantic language games, to help them disguise that prideful and smug moral superiority as a rejection of "pride";

as some ultimate form of humility. It also helps make non-member's lives seem less valuable; as a collective "The World" which is "wicked" and destined for destruction. They also use those deeply emotional responses to spiritualized rhetoric, emotional music,
mentally-conditioning rituals,
and
beautiful architecture,
to stimulate the reward centers in the brain.

This is why the exact same parts of the brain light up for people who abuse drugs.

They are triggering those same effects via 'backdoor hacks' into human neurophysiology and blood chemistry.

In effect, they literally become your drug dealers. But it's WORSE than that. Because they trick their buyers into thinking those aren't drugs at all, and so there's nothing to go into rehab about. 

Why does this matter? 

First, it means they have BYPASSED the process of CONSENT. 

There really is no way to ethically justify that. 
Although, of course, there is a way to feel "good" about it.

Also, it means they have weaponized you against your fellow humans, and against yourself;
while (at the same time) ensuring you can't realize it. 

Equally important, ... 

The long-term effects of allowing moral-authoritarian faith-systems to abuse your brain (and to abuse children's brains)
can be devastating.




That, in turn, further damages the ability to think rationally and ethically about what they're doing to you,
what you're doing to yourself, 
and what you are helping them to do others.

Meanwhile,
they want to make sure none of their sheeple get suspicious about it. While they are busy triggering neuro-chemicals in your brain (in order to generate emotional highs), they also LIE to you about what's causing those effects. They call it things like "spiritual experience" and "the indwelling of the Holy Spirit". [Link to a series of related videos; recently produced by one of the sharpest skeptical minds on Youtube] 

They also subtly maneuver sheeple into holding each other hostage. They do this by perpetuating a social system (in churches and in families) where members become deeply reliant on a specific faith-based social-system to get their social needs met.

As members of a religious family or community,
members *dare not* risk losing respectful-regard and inclusion;
especially not by questioning that social-system's attitudes, teachings, or related behaviors; at least not when it comes to things pastors, parents, and peers say and do "in the name of God".
So if you ever stop thinking, speaking, and living IN SYNCH with them (about religious stuff), 
you will lose the benefits which those social-systems provide. 

 You would lose respect (at least some respect; but probably a lot of respect), along with trust, inclusion, and support;
 from many (if not all) the people in that family, and in those churches. 

In this way, those religious-systems weaponize members against each other; under the pretense of protecting the sanctity, reputation, and "spiritual health" of the tribe.

They took advantage of your vulnerabilities.

They played you.

They played you hard.

They're using cult tactics as 'mental technologies' which took thousands of years of 'trial and error' refinement to develop into the wildly effective PSY-OP that it is today.

Meanwhile, ...

Notice how important it was for you to defend a perceived deity;
a deity who:

1. never shows up to defend *you*.

2. never shows up at all; not even to speak for himself;
not even to clear up mass confusion among his loyalists.

3. shouldn't need anyone to defend him. But you realized "someone's gotta do it".
That automatically means you're covering for either:
* a lazy and irresponsible deity,
or
* a low-powered deity, or
*an evil deity, 
or
* an imaginary one.

Meanwhile, every single time you make excuses for "Him",
you diminish your own capacity for ethical reasoning even further. 

In other words,
every time you engage in defending that bullshit,
that exercise itself ... further damages your moral character.

How so?

Because it requires that you put yourself into the mind of a severe Narcissist-parent and psychopath.
 

From there, convince yourself "this looks like the most morally perfect way to be".


 Part of that mental exercise is to "agree with God" 
about demonizing all of humanity; 
as literally not even being worthy of respect, love, health, and life. 

I realize your religion adamantly denies this.
So they say things like "We love everyone" and "Everyone is equal in God's eyes", and "We're all created in His image".

Love, love, love.
It's all about love; says most Christians.

However,

It's just another example of Christianities (plural) speaking out of both sides of their mouth.

HISTORY tells the truth about Christian-Bibles effects on how Christians "love" others. 

Again, #NotAllChristians.

But my point is:
 There is a strong (statistically signficant) negative correlation between 
Christian religiosity
vs
humans being violently awful. 

Meanwhile, ... 

"Whatever a god plans to do TO someone 
*IS* the value that god places on someone."

Nobody throws someone else away like trash
unless the person doing the 'throwing' estimates the value of the thrown-away person to be:
 absolute trash.


So let's not waste our time on Christianities' love-bombing and gas-lighting. 

Also,
 don't waste my time with the extra-layer of gas-lighting 
by telling me that I'm throwing myself away. 


I know how I think about myself. 
I know how I feel about myself.
I know what I'd choose for myself.

You do not.

So you're really not in a position to tell me that I secretly know there is a "God", 
and secretly know that your conceptualization of a "God" is that "God", 
and secretly just want to "sin".

In fact, if I thought all of those things,
I WOULD become a "Christian", so that I COULD "just keep sinning" and getting away with it.
 That is, after all, the offer being made by Christians. 
 "Join us, so that you can keep sinning and get away with it". 
 Granted, they are always careful not to phrase it that way. [#Marketting]
But that is the gist of it. 

It's also interesting how most churches say "we aren't a cult, because cult's have rules people have to follow". 

Rule-following is a form of action. 
Actions are also called "works".
Most Christians reject the idea that "works" are required for salvation.
That means there aren't any moral-rules anyone has to follow as a Christians; except: 

* love God with your whole heart,

* love others equally to loving ourselves (which, according to 

2 Timothy 3:2

 is not very much),

 

and
* believe that Jesus (any random sect's version of Jesus) died for us.
[Which, if you're a Trinitarian, means one of your god's multiple-personalities fake-died for us; when he stopped animating a meat-puppet for a couple of days] 

Note, too, how those are all just (only) rules about how to FEEL and what to THINK.

Although, if you really think about it, it makes no sense to legislate those things.

Nobody can just feely "choose" how to feel or what to think. 
This also sets up believers to doubt their own salvation, since the parts about "love" are impossible criteria to confidently satisfy. 

 At least, an honestly self-reflecting person would have to admit that they don't always (or ever) feel those things to the extremes of "maximum possible" love-emotion about "God", nor loving all other humans as much as they care about themselves. 

And yet, if they don't, then they are breaking the literally-required rules. 

And yet, if they DO, then they're achieving the very "perfection" that their own religion says is impossible for us to attain. 
So then they're back to admitting they don't; which means they aren't "saved".
 
In any case, those aren't things anyone has to DO nor STOP DOING, in their actions.

And yet, those very same churches will ACCUSE skeptical-non-believers of "wanting to avoid being obedient". 

Obedient to what?
How can anyone be obedient to a God who doesn't have any rules to follow?

CAN I 
or 
CAN I NOT 
snort coke of a hooker's ass 
and still be "saved"?

[Not that I do such things. In fact, I've been voluntarily celebrate for many years now.
Nor have I ever abused any substances; unless you count having an unhealthy relationship with food]

So then, what are Christians purely-imagining that I want to "keep doing"?

 Sleeping in, on Sundays?

 Thinking for myself? 

LOVING someone in ways that iron-age cultists wouldn't approve of? 

What couldn't I "keep doing",
if salvation is not dependent on rule-following?] 

Consider, also, the meaning of "grace".
It's translated from a term that means "undeserved kindness".
It means we are NOT "deserving" of such kind regard or treatment.

It then offers to graduate people into their potential to BECOME worthy of such kind regard and treatment;
 but only on the condition that we become true and proper Christians. 

Thus,
Christianities (plural) claim a special pocket of exemption for special-people (only people in your faith-system) who are appraised as having infinitely higher value;
as the only people who should expect NOT to be thrown away like trash forever on their god's trash-day.

Now, according to your bible,
he used to show up and speak for himself fairly often.

He's supposed to be the same yesterday, today, and tomorrow.
So you can't really say he has reasons for not showing up.
You can say "Well, I don't need him to do that".
You're lying to yourself about that.
But the bigger issue there is ...  

HUMANITY needs 'whoever may be up there' to show up and speak for themselves; 
if they even exist. 

Instead, you imagine that OTHER HUMANS 'showing up'
is somehow the same as "HIM" showing up.

And then you COPY that mistake;
when you SPEAK as if **YOU "showing up"**
should impress US as if it's 'HIM showing up'.

I am NOT saying there aren't any universe-creating, or people-designing, or affairs-meddling Super-Beings. 

For the sake of argument, I'll just concede that there is.
That way, you won't make the mistake of thinking that arguments for a DEISTIC "God" are relevant to any of this. 

You can stop yourself from saying things like
"What about personal experiences?", 
"What about miracles?",
"What about fine tuning?",
"What about logic and morality even existing?",
or
"What about US even existing?!".

Because nothing I've said here has anything to do with whether or not a supreme cosmic "source of all things" exists.

Nor are any of my points negated (nor even fairly called into question) by claims of miracles or personal experiences.

If a pre-existing Super-Someone has DONE many miraculous things,  
...
There are still no facts,
nor logic,
nor any known virtues 
which support the claim that "They" have author-ized your ideological camp's narrative. 

Instead,
there are MOUNTAINS of facts, logic, and virtues 
which testify against it. 

You can't see it; 

merely because someone dog-trained you not to look. 

A grossly unscrupulous religious culture 
systematically robbed you of the courage, autonomy, and honesty it would take to responsibly seek, process, and value reality.
