Explaining The Basics of Humanity To A Muslim
1 day ago
"To adress this issue, first I'm talking from the perspective of islam, god is just and not all loving, god does not love the misguided or kufar.. and to adress the flood issue: in Islam if the bad deeds were common and the good is less, then the puinshment is gonna fall on all of the people of that area."

re 'god does not love the misguided"
---
Misguided children
are the kids who need love the most.
There's no need to violently drown "misguided" people.
Guide them. Or stop complaining when they wander off on their own.

@ApPersonaNonGrata you missed the point, I did not talk about children, in Islam the one who does not reach maturaty is considered sinless even if he did like a child who is not muslim, and the "drown misgusid people" yes there is, since they need it in an Islamic perspective go search the flood story in an Islamic books

1. Little kids and babies would have died in such a flood.
Do you think they would have deserved that?
2. When I used the word "Children", I meant:
Humans.
"God's" children.
Humans are:
Born ignorant.
Confused.
Vulnerable.
Prone to casually-confident misperceptions.
Our views, values, and identity are easily manipulated by other humans.
If we humor the idea that humans were "intelligently designed", then a Super-Creator decided to design humans this way.
Humans have neurophysiology and psychology that force all humans to experience emotional states they don't choose.
We also (often) experience extremely inaccurate (yet confident) perceptions about ourselves, other people, our circumstances, and events.
To make matters much, much worse, humans all struggle with the inherent social vulnerabilities of their own EGO.
THAT is a battle we are all ill-equipped to make sense of.
As we struggle (and often fail) to make sense of "self", ...
Our respective egos are perpetually poisoning our perceptions of self, of others, and of our circumstances.
EGO is so very easily bruised.
It can also become saturated with the crippling weight of shame.
It's so very slow to heal.
In fact, often, such wounds refuse to heal.
At the same time, we are all neurologically wired (per our biology) to avoid suffering.
Since ego-wounds are among the most profound forms of suffering, confusion, and emotional dysregulation, ...
This vulnerability is often exploited by "moral authority"-religions and by political movements.
Ideological group identities all function by manipulating people's need to feel special, enlightened, and righteous.
They also weaponize our us-versus-them instincts.
They create a framework of personal identity that debilitates members into extreme dependence. This is called "identity politics". And it's essential to all authoritarian systems.
This is how our egos provide a fantastically tragic opportunity for authoritarian psyops to hijack our perceptions.
Such Psy-Ops include:
Cults, religions, political groups, and narcissistic parents and narcissistic domestic partners.
This is exactly what your religion did to you.
For most of my life, it's exactly what "Christianity" did to me, also.
Now, I know for a fact that the story is a myth.
But if your religion is going to pretend that it literally happened,
...
Then we ought to be able to talk about the factual, logical, and ethical problems inherent to the story.
Whenever humans incorrectly understand themselves, or their own circumstances, or anything about a "God". ...
Those misunderstandings arise entirely due to:
a.) failings inherent to our neurophysiology (which your religion claims was designed by a Creator)
and
b.) the absence of the daily, direct, and comprehensive guidance humans need.
If a "God" exists, then he is a hover-parent (aka: helicopter parent) who only "parents" by circulating demands via rumors.
He just hides behind bushes while he whispers advice, commands, and clarifications to random strangers.
He then asks those "special people" to deliver those commands (in the form of rumors) ... to random other people.
Worse yet, he only did that THOUSANDS of years ago. After that, he just stepped back to watch and see what would happen.
So (according to your religion's book of rumors) ... he wants you to believe he's always watching and judging you.
And he wants you to mentally project him above you (at all times).
But he isn't directly connecting with you, nor is he providing good evidence we can use to distinguish between:
a.) false rumors about what he demands of us
vs
b.) correct rumors about what he demands of us.
At the time when the flood myth happened (according to that legend),
...
Humans did not yet have any religious texts.
All they had were competing theories about the nature of their existence.
I would argue (very strongly) that Bibles, Qurans, etc. are not even CLOSE to what humans need.
But let's set that aside here, since people in the flood story didn't have any Bibles or Qurans anyway.
*At most*, the people in the flood story had a mere few religious rumors and theories about gods.
Those superstitious legends would have competed with other superstitious legends.
Religious stories do NOT provide the essential guidance humans need.
So if such people developed a culture of competing and incorrect worldview theories, ...
That would be "God's" fault.
If they also FELT in ways a "God" did not want them to FEEL, ... that TOO would be "God's" fault.
If we assume God = true, ...
Then "God" DESIGNED people to HAVE *ignorance,
and
* confusion,
and to
* FEEL feelings generated by their physiology, and to
* INFLUENCE each other's perceptions about what seems real, valid, and normal.
Without a GOD or angels directly guiding every person in the world ...
HUMANS only have EACH OTHER to help each other develop worldviews and cultural-value norms.
[Note:
A "God" should speak only and directly for himself.
They should not use humans to speak for them.
However,
If a "God" uses angels to guide us instead, those angels should radiate golden beams of light, hover in the air, etc.
-So that we humans can know that it's not just some human pretending to be an angel.
-Although even in that case, it would still be more probable that radiant and hovering "beings" are just aliens posing as angels as a way to manipulate gullible humans.
Even if we assume angels are a real thing, ... it would still be possible for evil entities to pose as angels.
This is why I say a "God" should directly provide the data and wisdom we need.]
So if a "God" ever got mad about how people (especially if it's almost ALL people) thought, felt, and behaved,
...
He should have been angry at HIMSELF for choosing such self-sabotating "design" for how human minds work, and then also for not BEING THERE to keep them parented properly for as long as they need it.
When a single soldier disobeys, we should investigate the cause.
It might turn out that we can blame the soldier.
But when pretty much everyone gets confused and starts doing whatever incorrectly seems right to them...
**THAT** is a failure of leadership.
In any such situation, we must blame the highest authority above them.
-Whether that be a General, a King, or a God.
Just as importantly,
...
In that story, ...
Every single one of those people could have been *rehabilitated* by an all-knowing, all-powerful, and perfectly wise Super-Entity.
There was no need to kill them.
Nor can the punishment of death by drowning ever be logically or ethically justified, in any case.
If a VIOLENT GOD wants to DELETE someone, they should just delete them.
If a "God" tortures someone to death, it can only be because a "God" would feel some form of pleasure in torturing people to death. This automatically means that all other literal "personal God" religions believe in a "God" who is a clinical psychopath.
So then, what happens when BILLIONS of people over THOUSANDS of years ADMIRE, EMULATE, and JUSTIFY a conceptualized Helicopter Parent who THEY THEMSELVES describe as a clinical PSYCHOPATH (and a clinical Narcissist) who seems very real to them?
We get a WORLD full of people who are SEVERELY impaired in their personal and social values.
It is EXACTLY why our world is such an extremely dangerous prison planet.
It's also EXACTLY why our species will likely destroy itself in my children's lifetime.
It's why your religions grant more social and political power to MEN compared to women.
It's why your religions feel like it's their God-Given RIGHT to HARM people who leave your religions.
It's why your religions demonize LGBT people, atheists, other religions, and anyone who lives or loves differently than what you "allow".
It's why your religions only admit the merits of science whenever it doesn't clash with your religion. But whenever it does clash with your religion ... you automatically just decide it's either "not real science" OR it's a demonic conspiracy to trick people into doubting your religion.
It's also why people who are in your religion(s) either avoid debating any of it ... OR they just always argue **in bad faith**; playing stupid games of
* feigned misunderstanding,
* misdirection,
* misinformation,
and
* logical fallacies.
And yet, you all want "RESPECT" and the SPACE and POWER it takes for you to finish ruining everyone and everything.
You all think you're entitled to dominate and destroy, ... because you believe in a "God" who reasons and behaves in those very same ways.
