What is not mentioned in this article is that the perpetrator is trans sexual. This is not a crime. Yes he does need psychiatric help. But there should also be punishment for what he has done.

My reply to Nora:

Bert sees transgenderism as a form of mental illness.

He suspects that "illness" resulted in an irrational urge to commit extreme violence against innocent people.

Bert wants the USA to force them to get psych help, and to limit their legal access to guns, power, and access to children.

I agree that a meaningful correlation probably exists between that specific person's transgenderism and their intense desire to hurt people.

However, ...
Transgenderism itself NEVER causes a desire to hurt people.
Thus, it's very, very rare for trans people to commit gun violence.

Mass shooters are usually straight, Conservative men. 

-The very same Men who want to demonise everyone they disapprove of.

What surely happened:

For years, that person was bullied and ostracised by peers and adults.

Why? Because of the USA's mainstream cultural hate for anyone seen as "lesser".

Why? Because of Christian-religious and political "Conservative" ideology.

American Religious and Political Conservatives are, quite literally, the violent gangs in your neighborhood that will get your kids into trouble if your kids keep being exposed to that influence. 

They make every neighborhood far more dangerous than it otherwise would be. 

And that's exactly what happened here. 

This kept that young person in extreme emotional pain, and then perpetually stuck in "fight/flight/fawn" mode.

This stunted their psychosocial development.

It also stunted their development of moral sentience. This was partly due to an enlarged amygdala and decreased activity in the right portion of part of the brain called the Supramarginal Gyrus.

In other words, Conservative Christianity weaponises our society AGAINST LGBT+ persons. 
This results in prolonged psychological injury, which sometimes BREAKS a young mind.

Conservatism is also the root cause of all poverty and injustice.

They ruin lives.

They break people.

They break minds.

Broken minds are dangerous minds.

Conservative Christianity causes most of the West's mass violence.  

In some ways, directly. 

In other ways, indirectly.

Just as they've always done, they run amok, sabotaging humanity.
-All the while, blaming their victims.

I'm not saying broken minds are innocent. 
Instead, I'm saying that person's innocence, 

along with their very humanity ... 

were stolen. 

I've seen it happen many times before.

It's what made an Ex-parasite (who, for a time, posed as a girlfriend) ... void of conscience. 

It's what hollowed out my Mother, Father, ex-stepfather, my mother's mother, and all of my siblings. 

This is how monsters procreate.

They hollowed out where a child's moral sentience was growing.
The result?
Another "skinwalker" (metaphorically speaking). 

Violent religious and political gangs often obliterate all but flickering traces of what we call a "soul".

In this case, a broken mind's very INTENT to kill both innocent and guilty classmates ... was the result.
