Responses were mostly about politically vocal actors and actresses. MAGAts listed anti-MAGA celebrities. Everyone else listed MAGA celebrities. In that list, however, there was one interesting exception. Somone cited Kirk Cameron. Immediately, I knew why. And I agreed. Here's now that subthread developed:

Admittedly, I was glad to see a few other adults in the room. However, predictably, most commenters were as dumb as a box of rocks.

But you know me. I'm not content to merely "have an opinion". I feel a persistent need to challenge myself; to rationally and ethically justify my opinions.
So here goes. [With a very intentional variation on the spelling of his name] A quick overview of Kirk Kameron's Klan 1. Claims that random fallible men have been so SPECIAL compared to almost all other humans ...

that the Creator Of the Motherfucking Universe
found them (but not you and I) worthy of "revelation"; of special and essential soul-saving secrets.

2. Claims that all rival sects and rival religions are wrong and "evil".

Notice how THEY can talk shit like that about all the religions they don't agree with.
But if anyone calls them out their for shameless bullshitting, ... We're being "hateful" and "foolish".

3. Claims that:
For anyone/everyone to make "God" happy,
... We must all blindly TRUST that Kirk Cameron's religious faction truly and exclusively represents the Creator Of The Universe.

4. Claims that if we do NOT give his selective assortment of divinely appointed @$$holes AUTHORITY over every meaningful facet of our lives, ...
"God" will feel personally "rejected".

5. For those who DO surrender control over their lives to those men,
... "God" will bless you ...with the wonderous OPPORTUNITY to spend the rest of your lives donating precious time, energy, and money to "GOD" ... by donating all of that to God's "authorized representatives".

6. With YOUR money, those men will live in luxury.
And yet, they will claim that's because "God" has blessed them.

That means you aren't even going to get proper credit for buying them nice things and paying their bills.
That makes you a simp.

7. They'll also use your money, time, and energy to buy their way into high government positions.

That's partly how they conquer entire political systems.

Meanwhile, they'll use their ever-ammassing economic and political power to continue COLONIZING all other nations.

Meanwhile, their "totally not a cult" will use THREATS of eternal HELL;
to coerce *vulnerable minds* of all ages.

To help increase their numbers even further, they'll prey upon people's ego insecurities and people's other most deeply felt pains.

They'll also prey upon people's common fears;
like fear of dying.

It's a necessary form of manipulation from them.
Why?
Because a big part of their business model is selling: fraudulent afterlife fire insurance policies.

They'll also prey upon people's lack of knowledge;
by seeking out people who are not very scientifically literate.

That's because they need gullible idiots. For that? To help them spread pseudoscientific conspiracy theories.

That's because they want to undermine reasonable confidence in established, respected sources of information.

That's because they want their MARKS (targets of their scam) to regard the scammer's religion as the only trustworthy source of information about what's REAL.

That's because they want people to be helplessly dependent and over-trusting of the scammer's "church".

That's because their church wants to RESHAPE your reality, while making you permanently reliant on them to DICTATE what's real.

That's because they want to create a false reality. Why? To justify their absurd dogmas. Why else? To ensure you will never trust any other source of DATA, or reasoning, or ethics. Why? Because FACTS expose their lies.

Meanwhile, one of their most dangerous conspiracy theories diverts necessary respect and funding away from global climate research.

That, in turn, greatly hinders humanity from cleaning up our ecosystem.

They don't want us to slow down our rates of pollution.

As our pollution rates remain high, we suffer from ever-increasing rates of serious and deadly diseases.

That, in turn, perpetuates high rates of global suffering.

Those religions PROFIT from all that suffering.
How so?
Because desperately vulnerable people are the only adults who ever join Kirk's Klan. 

Global climate change also perpetuates global unrest. How so?
Due to increasing rates and severity of weather-based disasters, droughts, famines, decimated fishing lanes, lost coastal lands, massive population displacements, etc..

That, in turn, increases disease, mortality, violent crimes, and mass-migration rates even further.

That, in turn, is used to peddle irrational and unfounded fears of migrants.

That, in turn, is used as a foundation for authoritarian "strong man" propaganda.
It's how they goad gullible sycophants into crying out "Save us from the scary people who don't look like us!".

It's how they get so Many poor white people to vote against their own interests. 

All of that helps to keep poor areas from rising above poverty.

That, in turn, helps keep educational standards low.

That, in turn, helps Christian colonizers take advantage of under-educated populations; by helping ensure they don't LEARN enough to REALIZE when they're being lied to by Kirk Cameron's Klan.

To make matters worse,
Kirk Cameron's religion teaches the disadvantaged to REMAIN disadvantaged, by telling them Super-Jesus (the Great White Hope) is about to show up "any day now" to rescue them.

So until then, "just behave", and "give generously" to their "saviors".

In the poorest countries, ... Such insidious methods of systemic suppression also help keep non-white populations from ascending into empowered voices among nations.

It's not even HALF of the mischief they're up to.

 
So when people praise those mafia PSY OPS for their "righteous faith",
that's just shows how absofuckinglutely uneducated, indoctrinated and weaponized their sychophantic fanbase really is.

But hey, ...

At least Kirk is righteously against using unapproved language.

Just as importantly, 
unlike everyone else who has ever been part of "Hollywood", ... 
at least Kirk is only greedy, manipulative, narcissistic, and self-indulgent "for the right reasons".
