When Christians Aren't Christians
Yesterday, someone identifying as a "Christian" posted this comment under an atheist Youtube video.
Recently, a few "presuppositional apologists" discovered that small channel.
[ No. It's not my channel.
In case you might be wondering, that atheist is named "Lou".
Also, I'm not technically an atheist. I'm only athe-ish]
They joined one of Lou's live-stream panels, in an attempt to dominate and humiliate that unsuspecting gentleman.
Later, Lou made a short video where he expressed his displeasure in being treated so badly.
.
That's the video where the comment (shown in the image) was posted.

Here is my reply to that comment:
How much sense does it make
to bully random strangers (or anyone at all)
in the name of "love"?
If Christianity isn't true, then it's a fake badge of moral authority.
In that case, all the world's Moral-Authoritarian Christians are basically just "Cartman" from Southpark, shouting "respect my authoritah"
And yet, if some version of Christianity IS true, then you guys (you + people who agree with how you're behaving) are still Cartmans.
In either case, you are not "Christians".
Consider:
for KING + COUNTRY - The Proof Of Your Love
This is the same point Randal Rauser (Christian) and Reverend Ed Trevors (Christian) keeps trying to help the morally bankrupt Christians understand.
Although, if they ever saw any self-identified-Christians behaving that way in public,
I think they would probably not speak up.
From what I've seen (since even before the Internet existed),
even the best Christians will silently walk on by when they see a fellow self-identified-Christian being psychologically violent to anyone.
I honestly think that's exactly why Christians always just assume all public criticisms are coming from "atheists";
because atheists account for the vast majority of people who are morally courageous to *do the right thing* in unsafe spaces.
For the most part, everyone else is too afraid.
As Darkmatter2525 correctly observed, ...
They whom surround themselves with their own "God"
are lost to the depth of their own ego.
THAT is the true nature of "presuppositional apologetics".
Narcissists
simultaneously giving themselves permission to have "faith" in the mental-universe other Narcissist's created for them;
while attempting to capture all other minds around them ... to serve as fellow slaves in that universe.
It's a Master Class in viral memetic gaslighting.
even if they are still blind to the psychosocial abuses which remain active within their own less-horrible theologies.
You aren't Christians.
Neither is my brother.
He identifies as a Christian.
But he really just uses the IDEA of a Christian "God" as a glorified mask to wear over his clinical Narcissism.
My mother is the same way.
So are Mike Jones, Cameron Bertuzzi, William Lane Craig, Trent Horn, Kent Hovind, etc..
For people like that,
"God" is a superficially pretty idea they can hide their violently insecure and loveless egoes behind.
It's like an elephant trying to hide behind a tree.
They might feel fully concealed from site. But everyone whose head is 'above sand' can plainly see them.
Normally, Christian apologists carefully attenuate just how awful they can afford to be in public.
The strategically prudent ones eventually find that balance; so they can be shitty to outsiders ... while still being seen as "beacons of virtue" to their followers.
In this case, however, your true personality is hard for anyone to miss;
because you've been publically smacking unsuspecting travelers in the face with it.
Imagine if your family and your church saw the way you are treating others.
You and I both know they'd be ashamed that you're represent them and their "God" in that way. But you feel like it's safe enough because they'll never find out.
What's more interesting to me, however, is that you're equally certain "God" will never find out.
This tells me that you don't really take Him seriously.
The 'idea of him' is merely convenient, as a justification to posture over others, and to hurt others.
What you really worship is your own ego and power.
But it doesn't have to be that way.
You could choose a better way.
