How Beautiful Was The Message Of Paul?
A random fundamentalist Christian
has said this, to promote his cult-narrative as "beautiful" and true.
He offered this:
"Paul has beautifully put it.
God does not require brilliance or power to become a believer. In fact, many people rely on their intellect or wealth so much that it keeps them from trusting in God (Matthew 19:23).
By this weakness of God, Paul himself who was a prosecutor of Jesus follower and the Romans who crucified Jesus finally bowed down to him.
Responding to these statements, in order: 1. "Paul has beautifully put it."
--
Meh.
People see beauty in anything that provides for their emotional interests.
There's no other beauty there, unless we consider Saul's religious narcissism to be a form of art.
Was it a beautiful way to manipulate the vulnerable?

2. "God does not require brilliance or power to become a believer."

Granted. Those narratives appeal the most to those who especially aren't.
But this isn't something it makes sense to brag about.
Truth generally appeals more to the strong, healthy, and wise.
Religions realize this.
So just like a virus, they target the vulnerable;
like: * defenseless children, * the economically impoverished, * the educationally impoverished, * the psychologically immature, * the emotionally overwhelmed, * the sadistic, * the masochistic, * and the narcisisstic.
But they need to market it. So they say gaslighting things like "many people rely on their intellect or wealth so much that it keeps them from trusting in God (Matthew 19:23)."
The ploy there is that mentally handicapped people (not necessarily un-smart people. But in some way ... underdeveloped people) will just not realize that "trusting in God" is a gaslighting way to say "trust in me ... as if I were your GOD".
Meanwhile, the idea of "letting wealth get in the way" is really just another way of saying "letting the benefits that come with wealth" get in the way.
That is really just another way of saying "letting good amounts of safety, health, and function get in the way".
In other words, WELLNESS gets in the way.
How can good amounts of wellness get in the way?
Because greasy, afterlife fire-insurance salesmen can't $ell
a fraudulent and expensive insurance policy (which they dishonestly market as both "free" and "true") ...
to people who aren't panic-shopping for a way to be rescued.
People who ***like their life*** aren't looking for a way to be rescued from it.
People who ***like their SELF*** aren't looking for a way to be rescued from their self.
This is why Christianity tries so hard to convince us all that
we are worthless pieces of shit (even unworthy of the air we breathe). (< ---link)
And the only "solution" to being worthless (according to them)?
SUBMIT to them.
That way, they can exploit us for personal gain in the name of their own alter-ego; which they call "God".

I think it's better to grow up.
Adults
are people who accept full ownership and responsibility for their life; including the responsibility for their personal limits, failings, and mistakes.
A lesser degree of these ideals
means having
a lesser degree of maturity.
Thus, the Abrahamic religions must target immaturities for recruitment.
And they must do all they can to keep people from maturing.
So they push the idea of being a 'forever-child' as a virtue.
------------------------------------------------
3. "Paul is continuing to reveal why so few Jews and Greeks believe in the crucified Christ.
They think that any god who could or would die on a cross to save people would be foolish and weak. By extension, those who would believe such a thing would also be foolish and weak."
--
The most effective way to prove someone isn't a deity ... is to kill them.
However, this isn't the only the real reason Pauline Christians had a hard time selling their grift.
Most Romans, Greeks, and Jews in that century simply never heard about that cult.
Nobody can reject a cult they've never heard of.
As for any people who did hear about it?
It's crappy to blame (worse yet, demonize) people for being unimpressed with something so unimpressive.

4. "By this weakness of God, Paul himself who was a prosecutor of Jesus follower and the Romans who crucified Jesus finally bowed down to him."
---
There is no record of those same Romans later bowing down to honor Jesus. As for Saul, he saw an opportunity to takeover a local, obscure, and failed (discredited) Jewish cult.
After he took it over, he re-invented it;
to suit his narcisisstic, cult-leader, mafia ambitions. What matters more than any of that is: It's not well-reasoned. It's not healthy. It's not even truly kind. Saul (aka "Paul") was not qualified to tell us the correct way to understand anything about ourselves; nor anything about any super-people who live in some phantom realm. Neither was the founder of Mormonism, the founder of Jehovah's Witnesses, the founder of Scientology, etc.. Neither were any of the Hebrew sects. Neither was any "Jesus". Only one person will ever be qualified to decide who you really are, who you should want to be, or what any of it's really worth. You.
