How Hoarding The Cheese Helps Religions Lure, Capture, and Keep.

Someone linked me to some images of happy religious people enjoying a religious gathering.

They were gathered in a very beautiful building.

What I'm being told is that their joy is caused by communing with Allah (God).

However, I think that claim is false.

If what they feel were truly caused by connecting with a Super-Being, ...

then all the epic art and architecture would not be needed.

They need the music, the chanting, the acoustics, the ritual movements and postures, the formal structure, the art, and the architecture.

The effect is also made more powerful as a shared experience.

You might feel silly kissing the floor or kissing a wall all by yourself.
But as part of a larger group?
Now THAT is legit!

With such gimmicks, religious conmen are able to lead people into a sense of being lifted up into some higher state of being.

Christian churches emotionally manipulate their members too, in all the same ways.

And then they say "I felt the Holy Spirit of God today".

Such wonders create a false narrative of verified truth.

Those experiences also create emotional dependency, like a drug.
It feels great, at first.
But then the person feels rapidly depleted in the days to come, until they have their "spiritual gas tank" satiated again.

But that entire cycle only works because of how dull and chaotic their lives are outside.

People feel better when immersed in religious theater.

There, members are guided into the process of reading religious meaning into it.

This helps assure that members keep going back for more.

If we're ever going to see humanity grow towards its true potential, we will need to help humanity outgrow such dependencies.

For this, we need to create a society where so many forms of beauty are part of everyone's daily life.

However,
for that we need a much better economic system, to facilitate those changes.

But first, we need to educate people on the real causes of joy, peace, and purpose.

Let's stop intentionally making sure the outside world is so chaotic and dull.

Let's make it so that people don't need to risk boxes of tricks and traps just to find the best cheeses of the human experience.

Let's mature past our common vulnerabilities to being exploited by conmen.
