The Criminal Audacity Of Ray Comfort

 The words of Ray Comfort
are absolutely not a ray of comfort.

Dear Ray, ...

I heard you say
"every time you sin, you stir up his wrath" and it keeps mounting up.

Has your god considered therapy? I've never met anyone so insecure, jealous, wrathful, violent, grudge-holding, socially awkward, detached, resistant to reason, socially divisive, or unaccountable. Wherever we find humans with those traits, we tend to also find stray dead animals that have been mutilated. Those are the neighborhoods where kids go missing. Those are the kids we seldom find in one piece. Real or not, that's not a good character to emulate. Just being able to relate to such a character means you're unlikely to do well in a psych review. That's why it was always so easy for fundamentalist Protestant and Catholic Christians to start persecuting, hunting, raping, torturing, and killing non-believers and "wrong"-believers. Manifest Destiny, the holocaust, The Confederate South, the slaughter of the original Anabaptists, holy wars, inquisitions, etc.. Faith is (by far) the most slippery of slopes; given traction only with the stickiness of old blood; contributions made by countless innocents whom had no say in the matter. Even as they died, ... The sheer force of their cries, could sustain the totality of all wind energy now circulating through our world; -every storm, a front; where ancient echoes collide. Yet, you breathe that air with righteous indignation; to pass further judgement upon all whom dare resist your attempts to dominate, subdue, and exploit them. Your "mission" is an affront to everything and everyone good in our world. That irrational shame you are using to hobble and cage healthy young minds with is as criminal as anything ever was.
